Ornella Iannuzzi
Inspired by Nature and Alchemy, Ornella’s jewellery is formed through a number of experimental approaches. She is fascinated by growth patterns within the natural environment and geological formations - characteristic of the French Alps where she grew up. Her passion for the history of earth’s creation and the genesis of life determines her choice of her materials. She combines minerals, which are the compounds out of which every living thing are made, with vegetal elements to create unusual eye-catching organic shapes. Her original one-off pieces are meticulously hand-carved and have a strong sculptural aspect. Ornella pays homage to nature through her jewellery, using only materials from sustainable sources. In doing so she elevates nature to a precious level and explores its vulnerability, questioning the impact of man's activities on the environment.

Graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2007, Ornella is already an established talent within the London jewellery scene, becoming recognized internationally. She was shortlisted last summer for the UK Jewellery Award as “Jewellery Designer of the Year” and “Young Designer of the Year”; and in November, she was shortlisted for the Italian Jewellery Award as “Young British designer of the Year”.

Her latest collections Nature’s Treasure & Abyss generated a huge amount of interest from the public and professionals during her various exhibitions; and her creations have been featured in numerous publications such as Vogue UK, Vogue Gioiello, The Telegraph magazine, The Retail Jeweller magazine…etc.

Ornella has recently worked in collaboration with Sado fashion house to accessorize their Autumn/Winter collection during London Fashion Week, and she is now working on big scale catwalk pieces for the London Jewellery Week in June.
